C.B Taylor - Shades to all who know him started out in Ohakea as an agricultural
contractor. It was there where he gained his wealth of knowledge of large
farm equipment.
In 1975 he made the move to Taupo where he ran and managed the BP Wairakei
from a small gas station to become the largest commercial reseller of
diesel in the North Island. In 1978 Shades moved into the transport industry
and has been involved in it ever since.
From small beginnings and only one truck Shades started out doing the
weekend paper delivery contract from Taupo to Aucland and still to this
day holds the major paper contract in the North Island.
In 1984 Shades branched out into plant and equipment hirewith hydraulic
cherry pickers working in construction on theOhaaki Power Project and
Fletchers MDF.
From a one truck business, Shades now has 7 trucks on the road transporting
everything from farm machinery, aviation equipment to your own personal
household belongings. His drive and determination to get the job done,
but done well, has made Shades a very successfull businessman.
